Brendan is a nationally certified physician assistant with specialty certification in psychiatry. He has worked in psychiatry for 10 years, with experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He has an empathetic and compassionate approach to his practice, and strives to develop a strong therapeutic relationship with his patients in order to understand the biological, psychological, and psycho-social factors which may contribute to their illness. He encourages healthy lifestyles including exercise, proper nutrition, and sleep hygiene to promote overall well-being in addition to therapy and medication when necessary.

Brendan’s non-traditional background informs his practice and enables him to connect with his patients. He spent his early career working as an officer in the United States Air Force before transitioning to healthcare. Brendan pursued a career in psychiatry after witnessing how patients’ mental health impacts their broader health and functioning. After his training, he worked with several community mental health clinics in rural Pennsylvania, where he treated patients with a wide range of severe psychiatric illnesses in economically-depressed areas of the state. He later worked with some of the top psychiatrists in the country at the University of Michigan Hospital in the adult inpatient unit. Since transitioning to Los Angeles, Brendan has worked treating adults in the outpatient setting.

He treats patients who suffer from depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, OCD, and ADHD.
